Job Title: Retail Associate
Location: ECANDI, Rosslyn Gates Centre, Nairobi, Kenya.
Term: Full time (based on performance)
Shop opening hours: 8:30am – 6pm
Working Schedule: Monday -Saturday (8:30am – 6pm)

Join our dynamic team at Eco Create & Innovate – ECANDI where we’re passionate about zero waste living and sustainability. As a Retail Associate, you’ll play a vital role in our daily operations while contributing to our mission of reducing waste in the community.


As a Retail Associate, you will be a crucial part of our store’s daily operations. Your role involves supporting the Shop Manager in various tasks, from customer service and inventory management to maintaining a clean and inviting store environment. Additionally, you’ll actively contribute to our sustainability initiatives and community outreach efforts, including events and workshops. Your creativity will shine as you manage our social media platforms to expand our reach.


  • Manage day to day shop operations: Ensure the smooth functioning of the store, including opening and closing duties, shop cleaning, and setup.
  • Provide exceptional customer service: Handle sales, orders, and payments while engaging with customers, answering questions about our mission, and zero waste products.
  • Assist in inventory management: Handle stock, record inventory, and maintain stock levels.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and visually appealing store: Ensure that the store environment reflects our commitment to sustainability and zero waste.
  • Participate in store events and promotions: Support community outreach efforts, including events and workshops, to promote our mission.
  • Engage with customers: Educate and inform customers about our products and sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage social media content: Create and curate content for our social media platforms to expand our reach and engage with our online community.
  • Fulfil online orders: Process online orders and monitor our website.
    Collect and report customer feedback: Share valuable customer feedback with the Store Manager for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on zero waste trends: Keep updated on the latest zero waste trends, brands, and products to better assist customers.
  • Drive sales: Actively engage and educate customers about our products to boost sales.
  • General: Any other relevant tasks assigned.
